MOUNTAIN BIKING: Rocky Gorge Reservoir

← MD NORTHWEST BR ANACOSTIA RIVER HYATTSVILLE MD Single Tracks →

Description

If you like being challanged by logs, rocks, roots and hairpin turns, this is the trail for you. The Gorge doesn't have tall hills, so the miles go real fast. This trail is good for beginners looking to develop their technical skills while not focusing on their fitness levels with hard climbs and declines. I rode in December and the trail was not very well maintained. I do NOT recommend this ride to a intermediate or advanced riders. I will NOT ride again! I recommend FountainHead.

Directions

From Route 95, take Route 198 (Sandy Spring Road) west at Exit 33. Turn right onto Bond Mill Road. Follow Bond Mill Road to Brooklyn Bridge Road. Turn right onto Brooklyn Bridge Road, then immediately left onto Supple Lane. Follow Supple Lane to the launch site. When you get out, follow the trail to the left of the parking lot.
